...Things are going well. Work has been keeping me busy. I've had little time for anything else.

Work is unentertaining. I suppose one can't expect a law library to be full of sources of amusement, however. Regardless of that, it pays. Due to that fact and possessing a financially beneficial steading for myself at present, I've been able to purchase for Jii a few... more accomodating luxuries.

My gelding should be pleased.

I look forward to the new term. A break in this mundane routine, to follow another mundane routine, is just what the doctor ordered.

I think, this weekend, I might browse the galleries around here though, or attend a poetry reading, providing a good one for that time can be located.

It... seems my cousin has left for home again. I was unaware she could be so fickle.

A change of appearance has been acquired. It is, unfortunately, not very professional in the occupational field that I am presently part of to have hair that hangs to your... prosterior. This has now been remedied. I am not entirely loathing of the change.

It's... tolerable.


Reminder to self: Harmless luncheons at the deli are no longer pest-free. Strangers have an annoying tendency of trying to talk off your ear, and are not susceptible to taking hints, i.e. getting lost when given repetitive and vague responses. Finding a new place to eat that is close to home, work, and school would be a wise course of action. Also, it would be wise, when next you see the Spandex Boy Wonder, to remind him not to speak often (or at all) of you to strangers. This could, hopefully, be a great way to help in depleting the amount of unwanted attention (being any) that you are given when trying to enjoy a little bit of peaceful time by yourself eating lunch or doing most any other task.

The interview last week went well; I acquired a job at the Law Library and it has been going rather decently. It is quite easy to pick up on the work, far from challenging, but in the end I suppose it doesn't matter if I find it mentally stimulating or not so long as the pay is... stellar.

I received a call late last night. Could have gone without it, and the news it brought, but it did seem rather important. On some level. It seems my cousin is to be arriving in Tokyo soon. It's such a pity that my apartment is rather small and cannot house her while she hunts for a place of her own to take up residence. Oh well.

Ah... but trivialties aside. I think this evening I will spend my spare time with Jii. I managed, thanks to the help Karasu offered a few days ago, to find a place along the outskirts of the city for him. Hopefully the gelding enjoys the corral there... but I shall see when I visit this evening. I suppose anything is better than the Sado stables and that crude instructor he had to endure before... but I'd rather not settle for anything less than the best.

At the least... it should be a stress free evening, and I am looking forward to it.

From Sado to Kyoto, and from Kyoto to Tokyo. The lifestyle of a Hyuuga is certainly not a stagnant one, though I harbor no complaints. It has kept me occupied and productive, which is of vital importance in order to procure growth, which is key to success.

I've managed to find myself a single room apartment. It's certainly not luxurious, but it is cost efficient, and that, at present, is my main priority. I am pleased that this selected habitat is clean at the very least, and it seems it might be near some familiar faces.

This... may or may not be a good thing.

I have an interview come Monday at the Law Library. Hopefully the position I applied for as a research assistant is accepted. I cannot see why they might reject the application, but that's beside the point.

No sign of my cousins as of yet.
For the time being it seems I am able to escape the rather tiring duty of babysitting Hinata.

I am beginning to think this project is a breeze. It is preferable that I do not have a partner for it now, as things are easier on my schedule without having to coordinate with someone I'd prefer not to associate with. Still, there is quite a few days ahead left to endure, and that opinion may change in time.

So, after endless hours of sleeping, countless bowls of lentil and chicken noodle soup, lemon tea and lemonade, cold medicine, and meditation... I am no longer sick.

I think I will celebrate by relieving myself of my roommate's presense and taking a ride along the horse trails. Jii needs the exercise besides.

...Apparently I do get sick. And they could do nothing for it but to offer to pop me full of meds and send me on my way.
